BEIJING, Jul 24 (PRIME) -- China is ready for close cooperation with Russia and the other BRICS states to protect common interests of developing states, Director of the Office of the Central Commission for Foreign Affairs Wang Yi told Russia's Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev on Monday, as cited by the Foreign Ministry.
"All BRICS states are important developing markets, large developing countries and constructive forces representing direction of the global development," the official said.
"China is ready to cooperate closely with Russia and the other BRICS states making BRICS cooperation more substantive, strong and expanded, and also protecting the interests of developing states."
